The In2pacs Academy and @POPIcompliance have teamed up to bring you a POPI workshop dedicated to POPI in Radiology. In October 2016 the Information regulator, Adv. Pansy Tiakula, was appointed and is busy setting up office. It is only a matter of time before the act is commenced and getting your practice /department compliant will be on the agenda.

Workshop objectives:
The workshop objectives are to provide attendees with an understanding of POPI and practical tools and skills to implement POPI compliance in their practice/department. To encourage interactive discussion amongst attendees, in exploring POPI, in a radiology-specific environment, and provide technical and legal guidance while unbundling the Act.

Your Host & Speakers
Clive Daniell: Independent PACS/RIS consultant and founder of the In2pacs Academy will provide insight and valuable domain specific technical knowledge during the workshop
Ewart Mouton: Holds a B.Proc degree in law. He has participated in various legislative advocacy projects with the Open Democracy Advice Centre and other NGO's, the most recent being around the proposed cyber-crimes and cybersecurity bill. He has a keen interest in information security and is a qualified java software developer.
